How to setup Ventrilo

Ventrilo Setup Guide


Download and Install the latest Ventrilo client: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

Once it's installed you will see a window like this:



Click on "Add or Edit user accounts" and you will get a new window.



Click on "New" and type in your name, then click on "OK"

Under the "Add or Edit" button click on "Add or Edit server connections"



Hostname or IP: 85.236.100.19
Port number: 7544
Password: You will receive this once your account has been created.

Tired of everyone being too many different volumes in Ventrilo? Want everyone to be the exact same volume? Here's how to do it in Ventrilo.

First, open Ventrilo and click Setup:




Next, make sure Direct Sound is checked, then click SFX




Then you'll see a new window, select compressor and click add




It will immediately open a new window where you need to adjust some sliders




Set the sliders to the roughly the same numbers in the picture. The only one you might need to adjust any further is Gain,
which basically controls the volume. Turn it up if the sound coming in is too quiet, and turn it down if people are coming in too loud.
